Everyone was pleasant. I was kept informed about what was going on with my vehicle and why I needed the extra work. I was also given the option to have the vehicle recall taken care of at the time of the oil change, which meant having to wait longer, or bringing it back at another time that was more convenient for me. I chose to wait. Thank you for always doing a great job taking care of my vehicle.

My salesperson (Terry Slone) was as considerate as one could be along with both gentlemen that took my application. Mr. Slone did not in any way push me into anything as well as the other employees at Mark Porter. I have over the years bought around 15 new vehicles and never had as good of an experience as I did buying this 2025 Chevy TRAX with the people at this auto center. Before I came to Mark Porter, I tried to buy the same vehicle at another local dealer (Dutch Miller) however they put too many demands on me to buy a car from them and would not recommend that dealership to anyone like I would Mark Porter. In all likelihood at my age (75) I won't purchase another vehicle in my lifetime however I will recommend Mark Porter to anybody that is in the market for a new car. Thank You, Gary Carroll

I was treated well and both vehicles I brought in for their first service since purchase were taken care of quickly. Two recalls I was unaware of were also addressed on my Silverado very quickly during this same visit. Service was great! My only complaint would be that the DEF tank on my Silverado was at the same level when I left as it was when I arrived. I was under the impression from the mailing I received from GM, that my first tank fill was free during my initial service. Outside of that, I would recommend and return to Mark Porter Ashland for sure.

Appointment was for a fuel filter replacement, 2 recalls, check out a loud passenger power seat motor and a driver side running board led light strip being out. Once notified service was complete, went to pickup my truck and was charged for an oil change on top of the fuel filter change. Oil life was at 45% remaining and I never asked for an oil change. Then paid for that and went to get in my truck and notice black oily streaks across the top of my hood and front bumper. Drove truck over to the garage and asked for it to be cleaned off which they did.

Made an appointment to have my 2025 Chevy Trax oil and filter changed and tires rotated. Also I had them include in this visit a check on way the vehicle would jerk had sometimes when braking at a stop light or stop sign. It felt like when the transmission would downshift the vehicle would jerk back and forth. It didn't do this all the time. But on Tuesday March 18th when they finished the oil and filter change and tire rotation the issue of the vehicle jerking hard was never addressed. And it was supposed to have been wrote up to be looked at. So now I have to take it back, spend more time on this. I know the dealership does a Courtesy Maintenance Inspection. Just wondering if everything is checked.

I came in with no intention of purchasing a new vehicle. After a few minutes Mary Norris asked if my wife and I could use some help. I asked her a few questions on a specific used Silverado I had seen from the road. After ruling that truck out, she asked if she could show me something I might like. She was on point and knew exactly what I was looking for. Mary was not pushy and was extremely helpful. We left with a brand-new Silverado, and I could not be happier with my purchase. Mary is an excellent salesperson, and I am happy we ran into her.

I had a recent service appointment at Mark Porter, and I was very pleased with the level of customer service I received. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous from the moment I arrived. My appointment was scheduled for 3:15 PM, and I arrived a bit early. They promptly took my truck keys and directed me to the waiting area, which was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The service took longer than expected—nearly until 5:00 PM. When the service was complete, a staff member came to let me know the truck was ready. At the counter, I was surprised when I mentioned I hadn't paid yet, and the representative informed me that there would be no charge due to the extended wait time. I hadn’t expressed any complaints, but they acknowledged the delay and proactively made it right. I truly appreciate that the Mark Porter service department took responsibility for the delay and ensured I left satisfied. Their professionalism and commitment to customer care made a lasting impression. I will definitely return for future service needs.

The only negative is the interior of my new truck got soaked from a down pour because the door was left open while they scanned the door jamb. The door scan could have been done after it was pulled into the shop. My pants were soaked and I had to go back to work with wet pants.

Service employees were, as always, very friendly and welcoming giving explanation of service performed and results. This visit, as the last four visits, after receiving my vehicle the tire pressure was not checked. I always check to confirm oil life reset as well as tire pressures. Each time, the tire pressures are all very different and always low. This does not make me mad but I think the technicians should be contacted concerning this issue.

Do not recommend anything from Mark Porter in Ashland KY. 4 hours for a scheduled oil change that they couldn’t get to. I had to RESCHEDULE AN OIL CHANGE. After waiting in the lobby for 4 hours. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. No apology. No explanation. Just a complete lack of respect for anyone’s time.

The service department has kind people but this last service was very slow. I waited 2hrs after being told it would take 45min. The worker were kind and kept good attitudes so they deserve compliments for that and they did pull some help from another area to speed up the process. Overall I have loved my experience with the MP Service department and team. The oil changes are fairly priced for a dealership.

As always, the Service Department at Mark Porter in Ashland is top notch. I went in for my scheduled appointment later in the afternoon and was in and out very quickly. The advisors and service staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. On My initial appointment I dropped the truck off at my scheduled time at 8:30 am and thought it shouldn't take more than 2 hours at most so I walked to my office to work. I came back at 4:30 expecting the truck to be finished only to learn they forgot about my truck and needed me to bring it back the next day saying they would work it into the schedule. After another 8 hr day they finally say they have found the problem and will need to order the receptacle outlet for the bed of the truck and will have me bring it back when the part comes in and also replace the key fob at the same time. Take the truck back as there going to work it in again. 6 hrs. later i called and the truck is ready, Great. Pick the truck up as they said everything is fixed. Drive to the end of the block and go to take the tag off the key fob and the key fob is broke!!! They have to order another one!!! Very nice people but,

Very easy process to get oil changed. My person to bring my car was running late and went to the wrong place and were 10 minutes late getting my car there, but the service department still took care of me and didn’t have me reschedule. I had a appt at 8:15 am. I didn't receive any update until I went to the dealership at 2:15 and talked to Dennis in service. The tech was done with my truck and pulled it outside around 1:30. I waited for another half hour with no action. The staff went to have a meeting making the customers wait. I went to desk and a lady got my paperwork processed so I could leave. About 1:00 pm I called in and Dennis was at lunch and nobody in the service department could give an update. They stated only Dennis could give me the information. I have been at other dealerships and everyone in service could give updates about your vehicle. Service department needs to do a better job and put the customer first giving them a better experience.

The guys working there were great, they’re always friendly and nice. I took my husbands car in due to him having to work and the lady that had attended me was the rudest person. She had such a terrible attitude about everything. She didn’t believe me that I had an appointment. I told her it was under my husbands name and I could even show her the confirmation email and messages I had received. I showed up 15 min early for my appointment which made her annoyed and she proceeded to tell me my appointment was not until 10:15 and not at 10. I told her that was totally fine I was going to do other stuff anyways and she proceeded to push that my car wouldn’t even be touched until at least 10:15 again I told her that was ok because I was going to leave and come back. She was very rude. When I picked up my car she told me I needed to update my address because my account had a different address than my husbands, I told her that it was okay because we both own both houses so it didn’t matter whether we had both houses on there. She said well it’s not updated and I proceeded to tell her that it did not matter and I did not want to change it. She was just not a pleasant person. I was terribly disappointed seeing as I always take both cars there to get an oil change

Positive: It took as long as the clerk told me it would. Negative: I did have to make a return trip as I wasn't given the maintenance checklist when I checked out. Also, whoever moved and/or worked on my truck changed the radio station. I like Christian music (104.1), and they changed it to country (93.7). They had no business doing that.

I wasn’t at the dealership on 10/21. I did however call on the 21st. My car was towed to the dealership on 10/13. What I was told during my calls to them doesn’t match with the paperwork I received concerning the work done on my car. I simply wanted clarification on what it was exactly they found wrong and how it was fixed. The Mark Porter service dept in Ashland is by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. Communication is nil unless I call and sadly what your told on the phone doesn’t match with what is on the paper work. My 2025 Equinox has been a nightmare for the last 3 months. This service dept only adds to the anxiety.

We bought a 2024 GMC Canyon from Mark Porter Auto in April that had repeated electrical issues, so we traded it in for a 2026 Chevrolet Colorado and while the issues with the Canyon were worrisome, the folks we worked with at the dealership could not have been more kind, understanding, professional and fair. It was worst experience I've ever had i had appton Friday and they didn't even look at it and only thing cause driverside heated seat needed replaced but it took them a week for us to get it back and there was a day the guy lied to me I have drone mobile installed on it where u can remote start it and GPS with a app and it tells u when it starts when doors are open and that day when I called they said pulling the seat out but it won't be ready we'll I knew better than that cause the doors were closed and locked all dayi dont like being lied to and that's what he did plus keeping it way to long.

This is the second time I've had an issue with my service appointment. This time I scheduled a warranty/ recall appointment a month in advanced. I was asked if I would ve dropping the car off or waiting. I specifically stated I would be staying with the car as the service should not take that long. When I arrived for my appointment the front desk asks me again if I would be dropping the car off or waiting. I tell them I'm waiting and they warn me that it could be hours before they look at my car. Why did I schedule an appointment for a specific time just for me to sit around for hours? Then after 2.5 hours waiting and watching the waiting room fill up and clear out twice the front desk staff comes and gets to saying they are done. Only for them to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong with the brakes and that they couldn't see the groove in the brake rotor. This was hard to believe so I walked them out and pointed right at the obvious groove. I was met with an "oh". Then they say they aren't sure what could cause that but that they could mill the rotor down and see if it does it again. Why wasnt it done the first 2.5 hours I was there for my scheduled appointment? The only way that it could ha e been missed was either total incompetence or they just never looked and was trying to get me out of there because this was warranty work. Either way, I won't have my time wasted at this dealership ever again.

I went to service department on October 21 and requested service for a problem of discolored paint on hood. The Polysteel coating still allowed the issue on hood. The service person went outside to my truck and took pictures and hooked a device up to truck and stayed he started a service ticket and I would be getting a call to schedule truck in for service. I am very disappointed that I have not been contacted by The Mark Porter service department. I bought the GMC truck local in hopes of getting good service.

We were originally told our process would take about 2 hours so after spending 3 hours at the mall with no phone call we called and were told it would be 2 more hours. The staff there are always friendly & professional and are very courteous. I went in for an oil change and had an "update" that would not run for me. Because I scheduled my appointment online, they had no idea I was coming in for service. This is the second time this has happened to me. Next time, I will call as I do not like having to wait so long after I scheduled an appointment (or at least thought I had appointment.) Your online appointment scheduling should definitely be fixed! Then they tell me I have to reschedule for next week to get my "update" fixed as the guys doing the oil change do not do the software updates. This is VERY frustrating as I do not have time to keep running back and forth. My car is still under warranty but it sure makes me wonder what happens when these so called "updates" are not under warranty. Is there a way to turn them off? There should be, especially if a customer cannot get them taken care of during a routine oil change. I wish there was a car with NO software updates as this is just another tactic for price gauging customers.

We stopped by to look at GMC trucks and within 10 minutes the sales man came and asked if he could help us. He was a professional and helped us find the truck we wanted. After that he checked our trade in. After that he showed us the offer and discussed the deal. We decided to buy the truck and went to the financial employee and he explained the extra things we could add on to extend the warranty on the truck . We agreed to the loan for the truck and signed all the paperwork . We went back the next day to pick up our truck our sales person explained all the things we had on our truck in detail. He helped setting our phones and told us how to get ONStar installed . Everyone involved with this process were very professional and very friendly and helpful. My car was diagnosed at Glockner last March as having a defective battery control module and this would be a factory repair. I own a Chevy hybrid car that has a lithium propulsion battery and a regular lead acid battery. Glockner could not repair because they did not have factory authorized repair technician. Mark P looked at the car two times and would not read the trouble codes and fix my car, MP claimed to be a factory repair facility. Instead they charged me over $700 for me to install a lead acid battery that was not bad! The car sat for months waiting for a repair appointments Finally a third time to the dealer after showing the technician the trouble codes he said "that's your problem" then they wanted to charge me $6k for a factory authorized repair . I insisted it was a bulletin repair "we don't look for that" finally it was agreed to a factory repair from GM after I insisted they look. Waited nearly two months for a repair the third time. My cost, nearly two months rental car over $800, +$400 lead acid battery that was fine, $300 to tell me my lead acid battery was 11 v after sitting for months waiting for an appointment. + Anxiety and frustration, bumming rides from friends and family, trying to explain my case to someone who will listen to me. The car was finally fixed after an 8mo+ ordeal dealing with the pink fairy man...I doubt he will read this or anyone will care. The worst part is I'd probably have to deal with the pink fairy man again should I have another problem with my car. So frustrating!

Appointment was Wednesday morning before Thanksgiving. Received a call Wednesday morning to confirm what was going on with the vehicle. They told me they’d check it out and call me back. No return call Wednesday, Thursday was holiday, no call Friday, no call Saturday, I called them Monday morning. My service advisor was off that day and “we can’t pull up your account without his password but we know you need a new transmission.” No idea how much it will cost because we can’t get into your account. No return call Tuesday. I received an itemized report via text message Tuesday afternoon, no phone call. Wednesday afternoon I tell them I’m coming to get the vehicle and arrive at the dealership. They tell me the advisor needs to post the invoice for diagnostic fee and for me to wait in the waiting room. 40 minutes later still no invoice and I return to service desk to inquire. After prompting they post my invoice and return my vehicle. That will be the last visit to Mark Porter for service or sales. We never had a problem with our 3 vehicles getting serviced when it was Don Hall.

They are very rude at the service department. The sales lady at the car sales was rude didn’t want to get me prices on the trucks I was interested in. Told me I need to choose one and get price and she wasn’t going to get me price on any other. Told me if I didn’t make my mind up on one then she wasn’t getting me the price on them. This is not how you treat customers. I was going to trade my truck in and get new but she seemed not interested in helping me.

I had very good service from my first phone call until my car was ready for pick up. The office manager was very helpful. She took my information and contacted the insurance adjuster and got everything set for us beforehand. She made the whole thing seamless, right down to the rental car return at the end. Very professional and the work done on the vehicle was exceptional. My vehicle was not only fixed but clean also!

Oil was spilt on my engine cover. Pointed this out to Rob the service writer he took offense and suggested that oil was already there which is false. Had a guy wipe it off which smeared it and had to clean myself when I got home. Tires were not rotated according to factory specs which is an x pattern. They were moved back to front- I know this because I have my valve caps numbered inside. Positive things I can only say this time is engine was full of oil and tires were inflated properly. It is annoying for a vehicle which is still under warranty to be treated this way. My husband was GM & ASE certified for many years.

I came in for my 2023 Traverse for a transmission shutter. At first the technician could not duplicate the problem, so the tech and I took a ride together so I could show him what it was doing (as it did not do it all the time….but I knew the way I drive it about when the car might shudder). While on the drive the car did shudder a few times and the technician felt it. There was a technical service bulletin on the 2023 Traverse. The technician changed the transmission fluid per the bulletin and so far it seems to have fixed the issue.
